During a cultural site visit, an Indigenous Knowledge Keeper shared a thought that many of us can relate to: “AI is kind of frightening.” It’s obvious why these feelings are so common with the rapid pace of AI development and its constant buzz in the news, and through learning and exposure, those uneasy feelings can turn into a sense of empowerment.

Positive & Negative Impacts on Equity Deserving Groups

AI’s impact on equity deserving groups is multifaceted. On one hand, AI is driving greater inclusion, access, and empowerment. On the other, there are concerns about bias, privacy, and the digital divide. It’s essential to address these challenges to ensure that AI benefits all members of society equitably.
